Fan vs Player Version: Choosing for Your Customers

Choose the version your customer actually wants, then confirm the selected product. “Fan” and “Player” are useful ordering labels, but neither replaces a product reference, size check or confirmation of the details being supplied.

Start with the buyer, not a label hierarchy

Ask whether your customer has requested a specific version or is still comparing options. If the customer has not decided, show the checked product references and relevant measurements rather than describing one label as universally better. Do not silently change the version to complete an order.

Check the actual construction and fit

Ask about the selected shirt’s measurements and product details. Do not assume all Player Version products share one material, fit or finish, or that all Fan Version products share another. A website reference image cannot establish those details for every season and design.

Keep like-looking selections separate

Two rows may have the same club, season and size label but different versions. Keep both the version and quantity in each row so the quote and later receiving check can distinguish them. If printing differs, split the row again and attach the exact name and number to its item.

Confirm a mixed-version quotation

You can include both versions in one request where the products can be supplied. Do not assume that adding the Fan and Player quantities together automatically places every item into a single quantity band. LotJersey confirms availability and the calculation basis for the requested mix in writing.

Avoid promises that the label does not prove

A Fan or Player label alone does not prove licensing, origin, match-worn status or a particular performance specification. Make customer-facing descriptions from the confirmed product information. If a detail is important to the customer’s decision, ask about it before taking the selection as final.

Browse the two category pages, then choose which product references to include in the allocation. The final list should leave no uncertainty about which version belongs to which customer.
